Many Americans incorrectly use the term "wild bilberry" to describe American wild blueberries. Although closely related, they are different species.The wild bilberry, Vaccinum Myrtillus, is native to Northern Europe. The wild blueberry, Vaccinium spp. grows in North America. The ORAC values for the fresh, raw version of each is comparable. The country of origin for the bilberries test was Norway.
