At just about any grocery store, you can find Aunt Jemima waffles in the frozen food section, but is there any nutrition in them? When it comes to antioxidants, the total amount measured is extremely low, according to the ORAC scale.
Their ingredients are about what you would expect for a low priced frozen food item: Enriched Wheat Flour (Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Sugar, Whey. Contains 2% Or Less Of: Leavening (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate.
Given the wheat, obviously they're not gluten free. They appear to be made without eggs but that doesn't mean they're vegan, because they still contain whey which is a milk/dairy derivative.
